Support for the digital SmartCity component.
The French Development Agency (AFD) has made a commitment to its Indian territorial partners to provide technical expertise as part of the Smart City mission. Launched by the Indian government in 2015, this program aims to develop some 100 Smart Cities in India. The AFD’s intervention is focused on the Nagpur, Chandigarh and Pondicherry metropolitan areas, among others.
In order to carry out this strategic partnership for the future of Indian cities, the AFD has formed a multidisciplinary team capable of responding to the needs of technical expertise and capacity building expressed by the local authorities.
Since 2016, the TACTIS Innovation Services (TIS) team has been providing strategic support to Indian communities setting up urban projects, as part of its digital expertise and recognized qualifications in territorial innovation projects. The TIS team is responsible for building smart and connected city strategies for Nagpur, Chandigarh and Pondicherry in order to boost the local economy, modernize public services and bridge digital divides.
