Introducing Tactis

Founded in 1995, the TACTIS group is the leading French consulting firm in digital planning (fixed and mobile broadband) and digital transformation of territories (smart cities, innovative and connected territories, etc.).

TACTIS's Data, Innovation, and Integration (D2I) division provides the firm with the decision-making tools it needs to carry out its missions. It currently comprises six people who handle GIS data processing (mapping, statistical analysis, data visualization, web mapping, mobile coverage analysis), the development of internal and external tools, the turnkey integration of technical products, and consulting for Tactis clients.

TACTIS intends to strengthen its expertise and methodology in development and information systems.

Your Missions:

Within the Data, Innovation, and Integration division, you will be involved in the development, maintenance, and monitoring of internal tools used by Tactis consultants and clients.

These tools include, among others:

• A GIS data control tool produced for fiber optic network deployment projects (FTTH) monitored by Tactis consultants
• A field survey tool for Android tablets (Android app, server app, web interface)

To achieve this, you will be required to work in a wide variety of environments such as:

• Python development (QGIS/ARCGIS API, scripts, data processing with Jupyter/Pandas)
• Database manipulation in SQL language
• Technology monitoring of existing open source applications to study their relevance to the production application ecosystem (server applications, Android applications, etc.)
• Installation, testing, and administration of server applications (Linux, Docker environments, etc.)
• Interaction with external service providers as needed

A good understanding of business issues will be required to be a driving force in proposing technical solutions.

Your Profile:

• End-of-study internship
• Computer science/network training (5-year degree)
• Good aptitude for SQL
• Good aptitude for Python programming
• Knowledge of data processing and data science libraries is a plus (Pandas, Scikit-learn, etc.)
• Good knowledge of the Linux environment
• Knowledge of Docker software is a plus
• Knowledge of Git software is a plus
• Ability to administer servers (access management, rights management, etc.)
• Rigor, ability to listen and make suggestions
• Team spirit and interpersonal skills
